Everyone loves a challenge and increasingly becoming popular with Punters is the Jockeys Challenge. It works very simply in that Jockeys score 3 pts for a win, 2pts for 2nd, 1pt for 3rd then at the end of the meeting the Jockey with the most points is the winner.
Although it sounds relatively easy it does take a good mathetical brain and some accurate assessments of every Jockeys rides to correctly price up this market - and as I have found studying these markets they can often be a long way out on what I think the correct prices should be.
I'm prepared to put my skills to the test with my 'Jockey Challenge" Challenge which will be to take a $1,000 bank to hopefully over $10,000 before I embark with some friends to the Flemington Racing Summer Carnival in late October.
My staking for this challenge will be using what is called the Kelly Method - put simply the Kelly Method gives you an optimal staking amount based on your bank and the available prices versus your rated "assumed true" prices.

I won't be playing every WA meeting but when I do the selections will appear here.
